My husband’s least favorite part of this whole- Make Good Food and Take Pictures of It- is having to wait to eat! So my solution: make him a quick plate so he can stuff his face while I take 10 minutes (sometimes more) to get the perfect plating, lighting and angle. Marriage is about compromise, right?

Quick + Easy Guacamole



  • 2 avocados, peeled + pitted + mashed
  • 2 tbsp green onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp each of salt + pepper
  • juice of 1/2 a lime


  1. Combine and mash until the texture you want is achieved. Mash less if you enjoy chunky guac, or pulverize if you like a creamy guac!
